HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR FLIGHT ATTENDANT!

Whether you are a frequent flyer or a once a year holiday traveller, there are things you can do to make your flight more enjoyable! It is very stressful flying anywhere today due to terrorist fears, ridiculous rules about carry on products, and lengthly custom interrogations and line ups. When you finally enter the airplane door, you must try to leave the pre-flight stresses outside!...Take some deep breaths and start your day NOW!

DO NOT go to the bar first and guzzle down 4 double Scotch to mask your frustration, because you may not get to board your flight if the airline employees think you are intoxicated...Drunk passengers are not welcome anymore! Most problems that occur in-flight are due to alcohol! (Air Rage) Say hello to your flight attendants (a smile helps)...

Most airlines are short staffing their crews now to save a buck, so when entering the airplane, they do not have extra staff to make one person the priority for seat problems, first class upgrades, extra baggage etc...Many passengers take out their frustrations about delays on the crew, most of them think the crews receive overtime pay! Most airlines only pay their flight attendants for air time, when the plane pushes back from the gate until it opens its doors at the arrival city. (flight attendants can work a 14-hour day yet receive only seven hours' pay!...In other words if they are NOT airborne, they get half time only!)...How many of you out there would do that? And the toughest part of the job is boarding, which they don't get paid for! Bet you didn't know that??

Presents work well...My Mom always takes the crew a box of chocolates as a token of appreciation, and while it may seem like a bribe, who cares, it works! Don't blame the crew for late departures, broken toilets, or malfunctioning video equipment...Write upper management and ask for some compensation. Yelling at the F/A, is going to get you...WHERE??? Compassion for the crew may get you some added perks! (trust me, it works like a charm!) Flattery will get a passenger everywhere!

Crew is there for safety first...Medical issues pop up on a continual basis during flights now, and when the short staffed crew has to attend to these matters, there will be even less service...it could be YOU one day, so watch your karma and quit your bitchin...I have handed out bottles of complementary wine to passengers that have assisted me in the past. Changing seats for Family's that were split up, medical assistance, standing up for me with an irate passenger...

While you are sitting in your seat watching the crew in action, ask yourself if you could do this job?...The glamour is OVER ...Back in the day it was wonderful with 3 day layovers etc in a Resort or 5 star hotels!... now it is airport hotels with a minimum of 10-12 hours, especially for domestic flying...

DO NOT STAND IN THEIR GALLEY UNLESS INVITED...ESPECIALLY IT THEY ARE HAVING THEIR MEAL...here is a quote from a flight attendant I thought was funny ..."don't stand there right in front of us doing calisthenics over the jumpseat while we try to eat and not look at your ass." This is so true! Some people are practising Tai Chi in the back galley like it is a gym!

Flight Crew are NOT opposed to meeting/dating someone on board the airplane...If it is done discreetly, it is totally accepted!...If you have had 2 bottles of wine though, you may want to refrain...F/A's are sober remember! Respect the safety demonstration, watch it! I had one woman performing oral sex on the guy sitting next to her while I did the O2 demo right in front of her...No word of a lie! It was on a Vegas flight...gives a whole new meaning to what goes on the road...

Flight attendants like children, but do not tolerate brats! Your Little Johnny is not cute to everyone...a well behaved child will get you bonus points with the crew. Please and thankyou's are mandatory. Bratty kids usually mean disrespectful parents...No treats for you!

Please DO NOT EVER TOUCH YOUR CREW! Pokes on the back or the Ass, (which some countries do MORE than others) are never appropriate!...(unless you are George Clooney)...Seatbelt checks and baggage under the seat is Ministry of Transport rules, not the crews!...they don't do it for their health, they do it for yours...They are not checking out the size of your basket, so quit being so defensive!

Praise is a wonderful gesture at all times! It is nice when someone really separates us from looking like all the other F/A's! I had people give me shit because I forgot their drink 15 minutes ago, and it was my colleague Phil who weighs 200 lbs...No kidding! Flight attendants are human beings and are usually pretty good, unless provoked with a pointed finger in their face...no matter how stressful it was for you to get to the airport, walking on board angry will not make your flight better...A smile and respect will...Trust me on this, try it and prove me wrong... WHY DO PEOPLE STILL FAKE ORGASMS??

The two most common reasons women give for faking orgasms are to make their men feel better and to end sex when they are tired or bored...Many men today do not feel good as a lover, until they give their partner an orgasm...Times have changed from many chauvinists lovers of the past...Men's reputations are at stake because women talk more openly today than ever before!...It has definitely become a 2 way street! Your name could be mud if you are dull in bed! Men can feel pressured, and while most men do not fake orgasms, sometimes it is too much to be the continual stud!

There are also drugs available now that diminish the libido like Prozac and Paxil...How screwed up is this? We take the pill because we are depressed, and then we can't perform sex consistently without side effects?...Contradicts the whole process don't you think?

Many women do not want to say NO to their partner for fear that if he is not sexually satisfied, he will wander to someone else's bed! There is validity in this thinking, especially if the sex has been lacking for quite a while...That's what the Mercy Fake is for! Keeping the kindling on the fire! LOL

We all know we can fake it, but we certainly don't want to get in the practise of becoming good at it!...I still believe that if you are doing this on a regular basis, there is a problem with you and your partner! But...If you are living with a constant horn-dog, then by all means to get a good night's sleep once a week! Win that Academy Award!

Some women take a long time to achieve that ultimate climax and feel uncomfortable that their partner has to spend so much time pleasing them...They want them to feel like they are a fabulous lover in record time, not an hour and a half later...If this becomes a continual habit, it may not be YOU with the problem, it could be that you are sexually incompatible with that particular person...Not everyone is meant for each other and sometimes the sex is downright awful!...

Especially if they are super HOT to look at! Don't always assume that YOU are the bad lover...They could be lazy and spoiled, therefore a selfish lover!...In other words people flock to them, so they don't have to work too hard to woo someone into the bedroom! Some Countries don't allow their women to have an orgasm and mutilate their clitoris so they never will...Can you believe that in today's world this is still practised? Sick bastards! In some Asian cultures it is still a "who cares attitude" if the women orgasm or not...Many of these women still will fake an orgasm so they don't hurt their man's ego??? GO FIGURE!

Another fear or pressure for some women, is the Viagra pill that is so available now!...Talk about sexual pressure!!...Now Men have a walking hard-on for a few hours rather than 30 minutes...They will be humping your leg till you give in for the 4th time... Why did we screw with science?LOL... The day Viagra comes out with a libido pill for women, will be the day the sexes become equal!.. Equal pay is one thing, but equal sex is EVERYTHING!!...xoxo LUCY (the beavers)

JUST HOW PERSISTENT SHOULD A PERSON BE?

I
t's been a while since I have had time to write. My radio partner and I have been very busy with our website, www.beavertalk.com...check it out, it is up and running...Visit our you tube site as well...http://www.youtube.com/twobeavers and 21 videos will be displayed!...

I have a question...How much time should you allow yourself, when you are trying to make something happen? Whether it is banging on doors for that special job and no one is answering, pursuing an athletic ambition, getting married, having children, working on a failing marriage, or looking for forgiveness?

I think sometimes we play the persistent card too often and we are not paying attention to the fact, that maybe we are NOT on the right road after all...it's not about giving up, it is about not banging your head against the wall of no return...Sometimes you are NEAR the right path, but just not ON IT!

It is not negative to realize that something is just a little too much work...When a situation is RIGHT, it is still work, but not overly stressful! It has been drilled into us that we are too impatient or negative and give up too soon...I think there are many of us that do the opposite as well!...How much time are we wasting? How is our self-esteem holding up while we are trying to MAINTAIN this positive approach? Continual rejection as an actor, artist, writer or other passionate professions is disheartening, but if it is truly your passion, you must find a way to make it happen! Look at other avenues in the same field and try those doors...there is a reason some doors do not ever open...It is because you are SUPPOSED TO BE SOMEWHERE ELSE...XOXO Lucy (the beavers)

What the Hell Is A Cougar Anyway?

WHAT IS A COUGAR?...I am not speaking of the Animal Kingdom but the Human Species. Is it a good thing to be called this?? It sounds pretty demeaning...I think there are two interpretations from different age groups. The younger set say that a Cougar is a hot older woman, and the more mature group say it is an older woman who dresses somewhat questionable and easily sleeps around!

So, I'm thinking,...this a good thing all around!!

Ivanka Trump just married a guy who is 24 years younger, she is 59! I guess that makes her a Cougar?? Demi Moore is in her 40's and married much younger Ashton Kutcher...Susan Sarrandon and Tim Robbins are 12 years apart, her being older...FINALLY...it is not a double standard world anymore! (Saying that, I still have to give much older Michael Douglas a big pat on the back though for scoring Catherine Zeta Jones, she is not only beautiful but talented too! Hell, I'd do her!!)

While I am on this subject, why don't men have a name after 40? Why haven't women developed a title for hot older men? Or have I missed hearing it? Pool boy, is a hot young guy with a body to devour, but what about some delicious stereotype we could attach to a really amazing older man...George Clooney and Denzel Washington come to mind! (I still find Bobby Orr from the NHL a hot guy too) Anyway, just some food for thought...Any ideas send them my way...

Senior Management Sucks!

Wednesday, April 30, 2008

PARDON ME WHILE I VENT!

I have numerous friends out of work at the moment due to COMPANY RESTRUCTURING! This is just a diplomatic way of the owners and upper management saying...
you're fired because we want to hire someone younger & cheaper!

The company tells you nothing as to why you have been let go and 3 weeks later your job is listed in the paper...only difference is, they covered their ass and changed the job title and income... Tell me why it takes 4 interviews to get into a company and one swift kick, on the way out?

Where has human respect gone with these large Companies? Why hasn't the Employment Standards Act been changed since 1996? There is no protection if you are NOT in a Union!...People always criticize unions but no one comments on how Companies treat their employees when they are not protected by a Union. It is awful what happens behinds the scenes, job security is a thing of the past.

Finding a job in 2008 is not easy with most businesses wanting to pay less and removing most of the perks & benefits. It is normal to send out 40 Resumes and not get one response back! Even if you are a qualified candidate for the job!...It is rude and inhumane to treat people like this without any acknowledgement. Things need to change and respect needs to be addressed. It is a lot of work preparing a resume and going to an interview (if you are lucky to get one at all) and let's not forget the waiting game...We'll call you in a week, a month goes by and you are still on hold...It is a very sad work place out there and I hope something changes very soon for my friends. I hurts me to see the demise of their confidence with each passing day...xoxo Lucy (the beavers)
